Revised Zack Poem

I did some revisions on this poem, but I am still not happy with the outcome.  I want to show emotions, but I also want to show how much I love him.  He is a sports fanatic and full of attitude.

Zack
My son is kind, gentle and sensitive
He is fierce, intelligent, hard working and dedicated.
He is fast, talented and adorable.

Zackary is an achiever.
He is determined and self motivated.
Zack is athletic and full of stamina.
He is an all star baseball player,
A Basketball legend,
A football tackler,
A soccer goal kicker,
A skiing fool and
A skateboarding fool.

Zack
My son is the best,
He may give me attitude
and throws challenges my way,
frustration may arise,
But...
he is talented, caring and loving,
I am a very proud mom.
Zackary Isaiah.

Z.I.P.

It seems like anymore I am always publishing poetry.  For me, it is just easier for me.  My goal for the week is to try and revise some of my previous poetry entries.  For this particular poem I would like suggestions on how to make it less choppy.
I attempted to create a photo show to accompany this poem, but it was driving me batty and nothing would load right...maybe next time!
Zackary Isaiah Pettit (Z.I.P.)
Kind, gentle, sensitive
fierce, attitude, stamina
Intelligent, hard working dedicated
Fast, talented, challenging
Shorty, Zippy, adorable

When I think about Zack
this is what comes to mind...
Achiever, athletic, academic,
determined, self motivator
Baseball all star
Basketball legend
Football tackler
Soccer speed
Skiing Fool
Skateboard Pro

My son
the best,
proud mom
good friend,
Frustrating
Content
Never disappointing

The Doc Appt.

Hurry up and wait
Don't be late
You'll miss your appointment
If the doc is late,
Ohh well.

Sit down
be quiet
turn your DS down
Don't hit your brother
Calm down, PLEASE!

We will get you back as soon as we have a room
Urgent care...
Wait, what does urgent mean?
Quick, speedy, fast

Nope
Nada
No
Patience
Patient

Thinking quiet thoughts
Dreams of a beach
with palm trees
No kids
hammock swinging in the breeze.

Zackary Pettit
shoes off
on the scale
rush, rush

Temp., blood pressure
Tell the nurse whats wrong
Hurry up and wait
Crinkly paper
tick, tick, crunch

MOOOOMMMM
SHHHHHHH
Were in the room
Hurry up and wait
Patience

The doc comes in
repeat the problems
physical exam
Does it hurt when...?
How does this feel...?

Arrived with no answers
Leaving with no answers
and
anxiety attack
$150 physicians bill
Time lost,
Patience lost!

Who are you?

I have been dabbling into poetry trying to channel my inner voice.  This is what I have come up with so far...

You are evil
You take no mercy
You evoke all these around you
Emotions run rampant

Who are you?
Where did you come from?

You are intricate
You are precise
You have no cares
Emotions teeter

Who are you?
Where did you  come from?

You attack anyone
Sometimes with no warning
The effects of you are devastating
Agitation forcibly penetrate

Who are you?
Where did you come from?

You alleviate hopes and dreams
You persevere through treatments
You annihilate sentiment
You encompass health

Who are you?
Where did you come from?

The battle is initiated
Prayers are spoken
Poison is shot through veins
Dreams and hopes may depreciate
Aspirations may be on the back burner.

The war is fought
In search of Zen
Radiation penetrates from within
Visions of health increase
Imperative hopes saturate the mind

First share for Deanna's Class

I have written a few stories in my notebook, but I choose to share this one for the first assignment.

The bike riding disaster

It was the summer of 1990.  We lived at 5303 52nd street in Mountlake Terrace Washington.  My mom was getting into a new relationship with the neighbor man.  I liked him and his son.  His son, Jeremy was the same age as me.  At ten years of age, boys and girls are still platonic friends.  We did everything together.  One day, my mom wanted me to go the store to get her a soda.  I hopped on my bike and rode to the store.

I arrived at the little ma and pa corner store and got the soda for my mom.  I got back on my bike and fastened my helmet.  The ride home entailed a short straight stretch of rode, a really fun hill to ride down, cross an intersection and a couple of blocks to get home.  I had made this ride a thousand times.

Ascending down the hill I saw the stop sign approaching, I slowed and looked both ways.  I didn't see any cars coming so I proceeded through the stop sign without stopping.  Before I could know what happened to me I was tangled in my bike laying next to a car in the ditch.

I tried to stand up, but my ankle was stuck int he spokes of the tire.  The man jumped out of his car screaming and yelling.  He asked me if I was OK and I said yes.  I quickly got my ankle untangled from the tire and grabbed my shoe.  I picked up my bike and stumbled home.

I walked in the front door and said mom, here's your pop...ohh and I just got hit by a car.  She came running from the kitchen ranting and raving.  The man has followed my home to make sure I was ok.

Turns out what happened was the man turned out of a driveway that I couldn't see.  By the time I was crossing through the intersection it was too late for the both of us to stop.  He tried to move his car towards the ditch to avoid me.  We collided in the ditch.  When I walked home, I was in shock, I didn't really know what happened.

My mom took me to the hospital for an evaluation.  I ended up spraining my back and was covered with bruises and scratches.  I was really lucky I was wearing my helmet.  My bike was totalled, but the car had its fair amount of damage as well.  When I drove my bike into the car, I flew and made a huge imprint in the drivers side door with my fanny!  I didn't ride my bike for a really long time, but when I started riding again, I used a different route, which was much longer, but I didn't want to ride through that intersection again.

I am sentimental and emotional
I wonder why we lose the ones we love
I hear the angels horns blowing
I touch the clouds above
I want to see her again
I am sentimental and emotional

I pretend she is still here
I feel an angels's wings
I touch the halo
I worry; did I say I love you enough?

I try to move on
I hope these feelings of sorrow disappear

Unperfect...

I was looking around online last night trying to plan some lesson for upcoming work days.  I came across this poem and fell in love with it!  It is so true!

I'm not a perfect girl
my hair doesn't always stay in place &
 I spill things a lot. I'm pretty clumsy, &
sometimes I have a broken heart
My friends and sometimes fight &
maybe some days nothing goes right,
but when I think about it and take a step back,
I remember how amazing  life truly is
 and maybe, just maybe
 I like being
UNPERFECT!
